"The Tree of Peace" Note Card

I meditated long and deep on what is peace and found my breath, moving in and out, like a reciprocal offering, a beautiful exchange with the animate world around me. I looked up the definition of peace and found “tranquility and calm” and “the absence of war.” I looked at spiritual texts and noted that the Hebrew word for peace is “shalom.” meaning right relationship with God, one another, and with creation. The concept of peace is wholeness and right relationship and it brings the fruits of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Essentially peace is found within. It is radiated outward. It’s a decision each of us makes in every moment. It is the attitude with which we live our lives. I feel this is why Jesus said Blessed are the peace makers, for they shall be called children of God. May we each decide here and now, and every day hereafter, to live in right relationship, to live in peace.
Originally created with acrylic & Terra di Colori paints. Your print will be signed and numbered by Gail, then carefully rolled and sent in a cardboard tube. Frame not included. Note cards are blank inside and come with a kraft envelope.
